As TEMPEX DEUTSCHLAND decided in 1967, to install a delivery storage for personal protection attire (PSA) in Austria, no-one was aware of the birth of a successful company taking place. The final step into independence took place in 1969 as the head office was relocated to St. Ulrich near Steyr/OÖ and a small independent team, with a selected range on in-house products, began to intensely work on national and foreign markets. These activities produced a continuous growth in respect of manpower which thereafter caused a need to expand the existing premises. Due to this the production- and storage capacities, just like the space for administration and marketing/sales, had to be crucially amplified, which ultimately led to the construction of a new company site including a new building.
